Distorted Reflections, Bloomfield
12 X 16, Acrylic on Canvas
  • Completing the “Smoke and Sparks” series, overseeing its installation, and preparing reproductions took me well into mid-2008.

For a few months after that I have continued to paint plein air. Included here are several completed by mid-2008.

The first four paintings: “Distorted Reflections (Bloomfield),” “Stan’s Market (Strip District),” “Bellevue Library,” “’I Remember When there was Water in There’” were hung concurrently with “ Cityscapes and Escapes” Show, but at the Watercolor Gallery as part of the 2007 Exhibition of the Plein Air Painters of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
In the Summer of 2008 I took a class on fiber collage from Sandy Kephart. With her encouragement, I rapidly joined the Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh and changed directions devoting myself mostly to fiber collage and small art quilts, see my Fiber & Quilt page for my most recent work. I only occasionally paint now.
